Mission Tenets
Our Mission
To raise and provide funding for mental health, department morale, organizational wellness, technology, equipment, programs for community and youth engagement, and training.
Want to Help?
Our Story
Pensacola’s Finest Foundation exists to raise and provide funding to ensure our officers are well equipped physically and mentally to best serve our community. We do this through fundraising events and through direct relationships in our community.
Below are a few examples of Pensacola Police Department needs we support.
Support the Mental Health of Our Officers
Every day, our officers are exposed to high-stress events, some involving violence and death. For example, the Pensacola Police Department budget only allows for a set amount of opportunity for counseling following an event. Pensacola’s Finest Foundation can supplement that and add additional counseling when needed and requested.
Support the Physical Safety of Our Officers
We want to make sure our officers have all the equipment they need to do their job safely. An example of this is if PPD’s budget allows for four new shields per year, we would like to supplement that to purchase even more shields when needed and requested.
Support the Training of Our Officers
Support for Community Engagement
Training makes us better, and we want to ensure our officers can get all the training they need. Again, resources at PPD are limited, and we raise money to help supplement their existing training budget. Let’s say de-escalation training is being held off site, but budget only allows for four people to attend. We want to help get that training for as many officers as possible when needed and requested.
Building a strong relationship with the community is key to reduced crime and the safety of our officers. While the Pensacola Police Department has a limited budget for community engagement, Pensacola’s Finest Foundation can help supplement that through raising funds and distributing as needed and requested. For instance, if PPD would like to host a neighborhood event with food and games, Pensacola’s Finest Foundation could provide the funds to make that possible.
